Hello fellow remote devotees - what is causing my 2 customer's 1000's to lock up? u remove the battery, reinstall, and all is fine. this may happen 2 or 3 times a week and has been going on since both were installed in may. both have been updated twice then both were exchanged and reprogrammed and all was fine for another month & it has started up again with both! they r both being used with the harmony rf extender. One customer just called a few minutes ago (after we exchanged her 2 month old battery with one out of an new box-in desperation i'll try anything) and told me it worked fine for a week with the 'new' battery but now the remote has locked up & sez on the display 'remote assistant-you need to add RF extender to your network'. Pushing the cancel or ANY button has no effect until u ... u guessed it remove & reinstall battery. ANY suggestions? thanks, alan

I'm having the same problem w/890PRO. Dealt with it today for the second time. If you pull the battery it will not work til you add the RF extender. had to show customer how to do this as a temporary fix. I'm looking for an answer to the problem as well

Count me as another H1000 customer that would like an answer to this other than taking the battery out! At the direction of LT support I updated both the FW/SW yesterday because I was having another issue; now after updating, the freaking thing locks up in activity mode... U know the message... keep remote pointed at your system... well mine just stays there until I take battery out. BTW... I left a similar message over at LT in hopes of a response from LT or the resident expert a gentleman named Wannabe. Plz let me know if you find the solution and I will do the same.
Thxs!!

Called LT Support and apparently they are aware of this issue; basically he re-set my inter-device delays to zero then updated my remote and it appears to have fixed the problem at least for now. You might want to call LT as it has something to do with the delay and can only be fixed on their end.

I have more problems with the new 1000 firmware update (7/31) than any of the previous two--it's always freezing. I've tried doing a safe firmware upgrade to no avail. I didn't think of changing the inter-device delays but I don't know what that would do regarding this problem.
