Hi Folks,

I just got my Harmony 880 last week and I have to say I LOVE IT. I have had a Sony Super commander remote for years (rm-AV3000 style, but older than the one currently available), and I was happy with that, but it was WAY to big and many of the buttons I set up on the screen were non-sensical to look at...because you only had so many naming options. The Harmony 880 is AWESOME. 1 remote to do everthing, that I can actually use to watch TV because of it's size...I love it. But I digress...

I've been tweaking this thing all out and have it running flawlessly. One thing that would be nice, would be to have an 'Instant Advance' on my SA8300HD DVR/Cable box. There is already an 'Instant Replay' that was available via the standard remote (and of course the 880), but there was never any 'Instant Advance'. 'Instant Replay' is mapped to the 'prev chapter' button on the hard 'DVD' controls, but there is nothing mapped to the 'next chapter/skip' button. Would LOVE to have that be instant advance.

I know Tivo's can be tweaked to do this...anyone know how to do this on a SA8300HD?

Thanks in advance!

JP

That feature doesn't seem to exist on the SA8300hd. You'd have to mimic it by doing one or more FFs followed by a play.

Thanks. Ah well, would have been nice. Thanks for the quick response!
