Hi,
I just bought a harmony 659. I would like to do 2 things with it:
1) control basic pc functions(start/shutdown/volume) for my htpc
2) and also control beyond tv 3.5.
I know I need some sort of IR receiver for my pc but have no idea which one to get? Also what software besides the driver would I need for the receiver?

HI, checked the threads thanks.
One thing I was confused about, could I use a mce compatible receiver with my htpc if am running beyond tv 3.5 on xp? I think I would like to use Girder but are mce remote/receivers for the most part compatible with girder?
