I recently purchased an 890 and have been successful at configuring all devices (a/v receiver, dvd, cd, tv, tuner) EXCEPT TIVO (series 2). It all seemed very intuitive and user friendly, even watching HD TV on one setting and watching regular SD TV with Tivo on another, UNTIL I got to configuring the Tivo box.

It won't recognize any commands? Any thoughts? Also, are there recommended setups outside the defaults that seem to be more intuitive than the default?

I mentioned the 880 in the post because other than the RF everything else I believe is the same, so anyone who's had luck with the 880 can also offer advice on the 890.

Try "Confirm infrared commands" under Device > More Options. The Harmony database has more than one set of IR commands for TiVo devices because they support multiple addresses.
