I have a Harmony 680 that I use for my media center and have been trying to set up with my philips 42" plasma. I am having problems with the remote recognizing the tv. I get it working but when i turn the tv on it scrolls through the inputs to the correct input. I was wondering if this was normal. I expected the tv to go directly to the correct input. Is that an incorrect assumption? Thanks!

Its normal. I have a 42pf9630 and its because the tv does not allow you to go directly to one input. Instead, you have to cycle through them... That happens even with the original remote...

Rgds!

The Harmony remote can't go directly to a particular input unless your TV supports a command to do that. However, some other Philips TVs respond to direct input commands even though the original remote cannot produce them. On your Harmony, check in Device mode for your TV, trying any command with the word "Input" in it. You might discover some working direct input commands carried over from other Philips models.
