Hello all,

I have a problem with my 880 - when I choose an activity like watch my DVDs the TV (Toshiba 50H13) would go to the antenna input instead of the Color-Stream 1 (component) input. This occurs only when power up is needed, if I switch from i.e. TV or VCR to DVD the input is switched correctly. Using Help button also fixes the problem. I have changed the power-on timings to no avail (tried power on delay as long as 7 seconds).

One thing I noticed - when this happens TV always goes to channel number 4. To switch to the correct input (Color Stream 1) I would have to press TV/Video then number 4 on the original remote. Also I can see the TV/Video OSD menu appearing on the TV. My suspicion is that one too many codes for key "4" is transmitted.

How would I fix this?

Tried to search the forum and found a similar problem, however no solution was posted.

It sounds like a power on delay problem. Try a really long power on delay to definately rule it out(or confirm it). 7 seconds isn't unusually long...my projector has a 20 second power on delay.

Thank you. It was the power on delay. I have set it up to 25 seconds and it worked three times in a row. So it is now a matter of finding that optimal delay between 7 and 25 seconds :)

On the other hand, is there a way to skip sending that "change input to Color Stream HD1" code altogether? My TV is used as a monitor only (all activities would go to the Color Stream HD1 input), all the source switching is done in the AV receiver. I cannot find anything appropriate in that dreaded wizard interface (the "switch input to Color Stream" is not a removable option).

Thanks

Go to "Adjust inputs" for the TV device(Device -> More options -> Adjust inputs).

Select "I flip through the inputs until I get to the right one (usually for TV, VCR, etc.)"

On the next screen, edit the list of inputs and remove all inputs apart from the one you use.

Update remote.

Big thanks for your help, this now works as expected, and no delay is required beyond standard 1500 ms.
