Just got this remote on a whim while shopping at the local best buy. It seems to do everything I need for all of my devices, even my Sirius sat. unit! Would love to figure out how to use my Logitech wireless Wingman controller's IR USB sensor to control my PC, but maybe another time ;).

My main problem with it, is that it wont go to the correct input selection on my JVC HD tv. When I hit the "Activities" button, then hit the "watch TV" or the "watch DVD" it does everything right. But it wont go to the right input selection on the TV.

On the "Watch TV" selection the software is set to only input that looks right for watching cable/sat. tv. But it looks like the remote is pressing "0" instead of the "input" button. If the tv is on the right input for watching TV but is off.. and pressing "watch TV" on the remote, it works fine. But if the tv was set to input 2 (or what ever), the number "zero/0" appears on the screen when it tries to change it to the correct input to watch TV. Which looks like the zero is being pressed,... duhh :(. Any way to fix this problem?

My next problem is the same with watching a DVD. The input is just not available in the software. It worked when I first setup this setting, but after a few hours of setting up the remote it wont go to the correct input or give me a choice for my input.

An example:

-My remote-
(by pressing the input button on the factory TV remote cycles through these)
Cable/TV
Input 1
Input 2
Input 2-2 (component)
Input 3
Input 4

-The Harmony Software-
Cable/TV/Sat.
Input1
Input2
Input3
Input4

As you can see the software is missing the "input 2-2" command. I've tried all of these and nothing goes to the "input 2-2" to watch a DVD. I think before,... I selected "input2" (on the Harmony Software) and that worked, but now it only changes it to "input2" on the TV.

Unfortunately I cannot change the DVD to another input. Since each input has a different connection type. I have the RGB cables plugged into the only area for that in the back of the TV and that input selection is "input 2-2". I don't care to go to S-video or RCA cables just to go the "easy route".

I hope this all makes sense, please post any questions if this is difficult to understand.

I hope someone knows of a work around to this annoyance other than to switch to the TV selection on the remote and manually choose the input by pressing the input button (what I'm currently doing). Or change the cables to a cheaper cable and plugging into another input. I'm trying to avoid doing these two things to use the remote as it was intended.

Thanks to all who can help!!

Under Device > More Options > Adjust inputs, just add the missing "Input2-2" to the list (in the right order). Also note the name of the command used to cycle through the inputs. It's usually "InputNext". Try the command in device mode. If it does not work properly and you can't find one that does, then teach it the proper cycling command from the original remote.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

After playing with the settings and redoing the inputs... IT WORKS!!

I feel kinda dumb not knowing I could enter my own input commands. I wish it offered more info on how to set it up, but now is all good.

Alright now to go out on a limb...

Now is there any software out there that can allow me to use the inferred of my Logitech cordless Wingman controller to control my PC without buying one of those "PC remotes"? Like assigning the buttons of the controller to control volume and/or fast forward (and use the up/down/left/right/OK buttons as well) for media player/Media Center?

I have the output of my video card going from the den, to my TV/Tuner in the living room and sometimes use my PC to watch videos or listen to music when I don't feel like being in front of it. I just hate to get up or go over to it and change the volume on the PC or use the fast forward/rewind if I can use the remote ;).

Anyone able to point me in the right direction on this one?!?...

Thanks for your time, Rob.
