I know there's somewhere on speeding up the button pushes, but I cannot find it. My remote seems to have a slight delay before it actually responds.

Try decreasing the inter-key delay for the device with the problem.

Decrease both the inter-device delay and inter-key delay.

Where can I find the "inter device delay" or the "inter key delay" when I'm logged in?
