Thanks to all the info. users on this site, I have narrowed down the remotes that would be best for me to either the Harmony 659 or the Universal MX-700.
Would like some opinions or feedback of pro's & con's to help make my final decision. Alternate models I should consider instead?
Thanks

I have a 659 and love it, but I'd get the 680. Or maybe the new 720. If you have some special requirement for a user defined macro (other than selecting inputs and powering things on and off) then the MX-700 might be better. Otherwise, get the harmony.

Have not heard good things about the 680 or 720, mainly the buttons & placement. Also, a more limited customization you eluded to than the MX-700.
I'll check them out furthur though.
Thanks

I've never heard anybody complain about the button placement on the 676 or 680.

Some of the User Reviews had some complaints...not as much as some later models like 880 though.

There is a new thread about the 676 buttons developing a problem over time. Others were in the User Review section on this site.

If you go MX-700, be sure you get a real center button for "select". Early ones just used the rocker switch. Bad idea.
