The 550 turns on the projector but will not turn it off. The NEC requires two button push; one to turn it off and a follow up on same button to confirm that I really want to turn it off!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Henry

In "Device > More Options > Adjust Power Settings", select "I send more commands" for the Power Off, then add another PowerOff command.

then add another PowerOff command.

Well it quit working today. It will not turn off the Projector even though I added the Power Off for a total of two Power Off commands.

It does get me to the screen where it ask "Am I sure I want to turn the projector off?" but does not execute the second Power Off command. Of ourse when I press the Help button it ask if the Projector is off and when I respond No it turns it off.

What can I do to get a reliable secind Power Off command?

Thanks

Henry

I suspect that you need to increase the inter-Device delay for the projector.

What I am guessing is happening is that when you press the Off button it is sending multiple commands to various devices in the current activity. This is what is causing it to miss the 2nd Power Off command - by the time it has worked out the other commands are not for the Projector it has missed the 2nd command. If this is the problem then this should hopefully be cured by increasing the inter-Device delay.

I had seen that option in the software but did not fully understand the application. Will give it a try.

Or just add a delay before the 2nd power off if it gives you that option.

That is what I was attempting to do but could not find a screen in the software that would allow placing a delay between the PowerOff 1 and PowerOff 2.

Anyone know if this is possible. If so kindly direct me to the place in the software to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Henry

Try teaching it a long (a few seconds) power off command in RAW mode.
