I would like to temporarily remove the rf extender so that I do not have to update it every time while I am experimenting with some settings. Is this possible? I have been all through the menus and have not found a way to delete it.

Ues. Go into the settings and there is an RF setting. When you click on that there is an option to remove the extender. Im at work so I dont have the remote to tell you the exact settings.

Here you go:

1. System Options
2. RF Network Tools
3. Remove Device

Is there a way to remove it in the web profile? Even after I removed it from the remote I still have to update the extender before I can update the remote. I want to be able to update the remote without having to update the extender first.

Nope. You will always have to update the extender even if you don't use it. Harmony said they were going to change that but it hasn't happened yet. :-(

Yes you can!

Go to 'devices'...click 'Control Devices with....' then change everything to the 890 remote with NO wireless.

It then will let you update the remote ONLY.

After you have experimented, go back and add the wireless as needed then update both.
