Wondering if anyone can help?? Having a hell of a time with the harmony selecting the correct inputs for devices. I have gone through manual setups, tried putting colours like red yellow etc in twice, changed delays, but best I can do is get maybe 3 items working. The main problem is HDMI. The Panasonic has AV1, AV2, AV3, AV4, PC, HDMI. I am using all inputs for different devices. Problem is that the colour for the inputs is not constant. It depends on the input you are currently in, that determines the colour of the input. Especially when it selects HDMI, it just wont change from that. I cant work it out. I thought if the Model was found in the Harmony database, which it was, it would work. But it doesnt. I have spent about 12 hours on it. Anyone succeeded with this or similar??

What do you mean color - is the color balance different for each and you want the remote to adjust it on the fly?

There's probably a solution to your problem, but we'll need more information, including what you mean by color and how you usually select inputs using the original remote.

He's most likely on a European unit which uses the four color teletext buttons for selecting inputs and performing various other tasks - I don't think he was talking about colour balance.

Yes, Spin Dizy is correct. The Panasonic sets have a rather silly way of using the teletext colour buttons, blue, red, yellow & green, for selecting which input you're on. However, these colours do not correspond directly to an input. For example, sometimes the red button can be AV1, but if you are starting from the HDMI input, the red button becomes a scroll to take you over to see more inputs. This is where all the drama is?

Can you give us more details to work with? I have a feeling there is a solution to your problem, but we'll need to know more to find it. For each input, can you list what each of the four teletext buttons does when you bring up the input selection list?

Is there a way to go into the television's settings menu to access the input list?

Also, have you experimented with the discrete codes for selecting inputs in device mode? I just looked up your set on the Harmony site, and it has discretes listed for AntA, AntB, Component1, Component2, PC, Tuner, Video1, and Video2 inputs. There's no guarantee that any of these work for your model, but it is worth a try.

Thanks, no I thought of that but there is no way to alter this in the setup. Here it is, straight out of the Panasonic manual, bloody stupid way they have done it, they could have just included an extra buttonl. Red Button = AV1 & Back page, Green = AV2, & AV4, Yellow = AV3 & Pc input, Blue = next page & HDMI input. I am not totally familiar with the descrete codes, but I have tried using the learn feature and that didnt work. I am wits end. If I cant get it sorted out this weekend, I am just going to buy the Philips Pronto TSU7000. A lot of money, I know, but it's not much use having twenty grand of a/v eqipment and no way to control it. Thanks so much for all your replys.

You'll have the same problem with the Pronto - maybe worse without smart state.

So give us the sequence of keys required for each input switch and we'll see if we can figure it out.

Aienco, has mentioned by Brad_NC, have you tried all the commands in device mode? Bring your Harmony remote in front of your TV, press the device button, select your TV and try all the commands in the LCD specially the ones starting with "Input...". If you find one that seems to work, press the command again to see if it's a toggle or direct (discrete) action.

You did not give us enough information. I mean something like this:

To go from DVD to TV I press Red, then green.
To go from HDMI to TV I press Red, then blue.

We need specifics or we can't help you.
