I've been using my 676 for several months and have become increasingly frustrated that any time I change activities, I have to hit the help button to get the tv to change inputs. Seems like that is the whole point of paying $200 for a remote--not having to "help" it find the right input. It also seems only to turn on my Xbox 360 about half the time (or turn it off).

Is there a fix for the input issue or is that just how it is?

Thanks!

No, that's not just "how it is"!!!!

I assume help fixes the problem, so that points to a timing issue. Try increasing the inter-device delay for the TV (add 3000 ms just to be safe). If that fixes it then you can go back to your original value and add 100 ms at a time until it works reliably. Do the same for the Xbox device.

What happens is the device sees an IR command that's meant for another device and then it misses the next command meant for it (to change inputs, e.g.). The inter-device delay forces a delay to allow the device to recover and properly receive the command.

You can also adjust the power-on delay (time to wait after sending power on command before sending other commands) - increase this one if the problem only happens when the tv is first powered on - or the input delay (time to wait after sending an input select command).
