I would like to know if the 525 remote covers my needs or I should go for onother one (may be 680).

I own a loewe tv, sony dvd player, yamaha av amplifier, and a HTPC (made by me) with Microsoft remote control and operating system MCE2005.

I would like to start the PC, tv, amplifier with one button...
Is it possible to control the whole thing by 525 and macro commands or should I go for 680?

I know that 680 has dedicated buttons for Windows Media Center but I do not know if I can make the 525 to do the same operations by macros. Or should I go for a kameleon 10-1?

The prices that I find in my country are:
525 65euro
680 130euro
kameleon 10-1 130euro

Thanks in advance,

John

I would go with the 680. It has more buttons and more memory. You built your own HTPC so that tells me you like tinkering. You will probably grow out of the 520/525 and wished you bought the 680 instead.
