Just noticed that when I press the "9" button on my Harmony 880 remote my TV instead of switching to channel 9 interprets the command as a request to adjust screen image position and shifts the screen image down.

Any insight into this weird behaviour will be appreciated!

Check to see what is mapped to that button.

"9" button is mapped to the "9" command. I ended up resetting all buttons to their defaults and reloaded the remote. It still does the same.

Re-learn the 9 button from the original remote.

I did but nothing changed. And, sorry for the stupid newbee question, when learning the Harmony remote, should I learn first and then reload the remote from the website database, or should I reload and then learn?

Putting same question the other way - will the learned command go to my profile in the website database and will it later be loaded into my remote, or it has to be learned after the remote reloading?

Thanks for your help!

Actually all the learning is done from the website - the remote is merely the receiver. Once the buttons have been learned they are available to be mapped to buttons in device and activity modes. So first you learn the code to the device, then you map the 9 code to the 9 button in device and activity modes.
