Well, I thought I was UPGRADING my remote from the 676 to the 880 and was in for a bit of a shock. My wife and I were so used to having the TV guide listings in the 676 and NEVER thought that by purchasing a more expensive remote we would be losing functionality! Well we did! The 880 does not use the TV guide listings (ZaptoIt?) like the 676 did, and instead has where you can put 16 favorite channels. Well 16 channels isn't enough space for my daughter to put in her fav channels, let alone mine or the wife's, etc., and then NO Guide data so I could scroll and see what else is on while they are watching the TV.
I thought I was doing something wrong, so I called Harmony Tech support and they said it was a memory issue with the 880, and the fact of them allowing us to have the little station logos takes up the memory of where the guide would be stored in the memory of the 880, and I said.."well can I have the choice of NOT using the dumb little station logos and have my guide back?", and they politely said "NO, we know you want those dumb little station logos more than a guide"..LMAO!! :)
Well, oce again, I am SO thankful for the 30-day grace period I have to return this 880, as it is going right back to where it came from and I will either get a Pronto/Sony, or my OLD 676 back LOL.

I would never trade-in my 659 for an 880. The 880 is missing the Picture and Sound Buttons and has a limited number of favorite channels. I use the Media button not only for my favorite channels listing but also to send mini-macros. In the "Setup TV Content", the channel number can use up to 4 alphanumeric characters. You can teach it a command under a single alpha character. For example, say you need this command string "Setup,4,9,6" to access a special feature. Teach it the "Setup" command under letter "S" for example. Then for the channel number type "S496" and for the channel name "Special Feature" (for example).

Oh how I feel you there Jlet! Some of the features of the 880 have grown on me a bit, but the loss of so many features I had grown accustomed to is just too painful at the moment! I still have about 15 days of my 30 day Best Buy grace period and I am extremely sure I will be trading it back for ether the 676 or 659 as I just cannot live without the TV Guide. Oh..and YES, I miss my Picture and Sound buttons as well!!
Mini-macros, I never knew about that funtionality! That is something I could definitely use, and can think of about 5 I would make right now! Just another reason to go back to the 6xx series I suppose... :)
