Just got an 880 to try and note that the software runs on both PC and Mac. My early Harmony worked better on a PC but i am assuming that things have improved? I would prefer to run it on my Mac, but would like to know if anybody has noticed a difference between the 2 platforms with regards to the software.

There have been problems downloading on the Mac. I think they've been fixed but not sure.

They were fixed for me after the 5.0.x software came out (for Mac OS 10.x). Be sure to plug the remote directly into a USB port on your box - like many USB devices, using a hub can cause problems (what a great "standard").

I still sometimes have to invoke the downloaded file directly for the Harmony software to pick it up. Once the Harmony client software is running, it appears that it monitors the specified download directory at some interval for new files to send down, so the process is then automatic (with an occassional delay).
