I've just received my new harmony 885 and after spending several hours getting the basics just the way I want I thought I would try setting up the favorite channels. When i setup a favorite with the 3 digit channel number and try to update the remote I get the following error:

The 'Watch Sky (TV)' Activity does not understand the command 'ForceState Watch_Sky_(TV)_Channel 0'

I assume you just put the digits in as you would press them on the remote?

Anyone got any ideas?

I've just had the same problem.

To fix it I deleted the 'Watch Sky (TV)' activty and re-added it.

It's a bit of a pain but it worked for me.

BTW my LCD screen is washed out on the left and right hand sides. Is yours like this? The problem also occurs when I look at the slide show. I'm wondering if I have a faulty LCD.

Hope this helps.

Just got the same error again, I think it has something to do with changing the name of the Activity. The proces failed when the activity was called "Watch SKY+" so I changed it back to "Watch PVR" and it worked fine.

Maybe it has something to do with special characters eg + or (

Very odd!

Excellent. thanks a lot. It appears that it doesnt like any special characters. Working fine now.
Just need to find discrete codes for the inputs on my Sharp LCD tv.

Its clearly some oddity in the XML at Harmony's end. You both should really report this to Harmony support.

They already know about the limitation - there was a time about a year ago (or more?) where some users were using symbols in their custom LCD command labels, and an update to the website code made any activities using those symbols inaccessible on the member home page. Support had to go in to each user's account and change the labels manually to recover the activities.

It was very annoying. :0|

Try this:

In devices, select TV

find TVvideo and select that. It should give you access to your TV inputs.
