Can anyone tell me when and where I can purchase or pre-order the 890?
I'd buy the 880, but I set my system up to use RF. I was going to go with one of the Universal products until I saw this one coming out.

Is there another way to go that would be less expensive? All of my components are in a closet behind the seating area (except, obviously, the projector). I want to keep the closet door shut.

One of the Universal Remote Control or Philips Pronto IR/RF remotes would do the trick. You could probably also use one of the other Harmony remotes with a Hot Link Pro.
