Hi All

I lost my battery for my 880 and am trying to figure out where/how to replace it at a reasonable cost.

I read somewhere (maybe here) that the the battery is the same as the Nokia BLB-2. It is compatible with Nokia phones 8910 and 8910i, 5210, 6610, 7650, 8310, 8890.

I bought one of these batteries, and it really looks exactly the same as the 880 battery and fits perfectly. But it wouldnt charge. Now I cannot understand if it is not compatible or whether I somehow got a bad battery.

Does anyone know for sure if this battery should work?
otherwise, does anybody have any advice where to get a replacement battery at a reasonable cost?

thanks
Ron

The battery in my 880 has a Logitech label, which is useless for substitution, but it does list various data which might let you find a match:

Li-Ion Rechargable Battery

950mAh 3.7V 190304-0000 R-IG7

S.S/N: TWP1127 L/N: 0405

Limited charge voltage: 4.2V

Since you've pulled the battery, you may need to plug the unit back into a live USB cable to force a reboot of the remote. It will run through a "testing" cycle.

at first the unit worked, but the battery got weaker and weaker and now is dead.
when I place the unit on the charger it reboots.
but when up and running there's a ? symbol where the battery symbol normally appears.
so I assume the battery is not right (or a bad one).

The BLB-2 has 4 electrical contacts as opposed to the 3 for the logitech, even though they look identical. Have a look at the middle contact on the Nokia battery and notice that it is split and actually two contacts.

Sorry, couldn't get mine to work either.

Ben.
