G'day. It's friday afternoon and I just bought a Harmony 880. I was really stoked. it looks great. Problem is, it's just an expensive piece of plastic. When I try to configure it via the website I set my user name hit next and.....nothing. I get the message below.

Unable to display content.
Click Next to continue.

If you continue to experience this problem, contact Customer Service.

I called the customer service number. It's disconnected. I called Logitech and get the new number and call them. They say leave a message and we'll call you back in 30minutes. 90 minutes later and 2 phone calls I still can't make my piece of plastic behave like a remote control.

I can't do anything. Until it's configured it does nothing. Does anybody have any clues.

I set my browser to Low security, allowed pop-ups, disabled my virus software and it still won't work.

logitech's support line says that phone calls after 5PM (sydney time) will be answered next business day. Even though I called twice before 5PM I don't think they're going to call until next week.

cheers

Try turning off any firewall and antivirus you have running. Including windows built in firewall.

Are you using IE, or another browser? If you're not using IE, why not try it with that? It sounds like a problem on your end in accessing the site.

I had this same problem last week with the website. I left support a voicemail and received a call back the next day. The support person quickly did something on his end and the website has worked fine since. I had previously done a test drive on the website and think something got messed up when I tried accessing the site again, this time to actually program a remote.

Hopefully you'll hear back from tech support quickly.

Dougv,
I think you hit it on the head. I didn't get a call back from them. Being in the wild west (australia) I stayed up late and call the US number. I spoke to a guy in Toronto and he did something at his end and took my account from a test drive to a real account and all is well. It's late and I think I'm going to bed but my initial test drive of the device and it seems to work great. I'm happy again. BTW the guy that helped me was really helpfull. top marks when they do speak to you.
thanks for all the responses.
cheers :)
