You change the address on the 2nd Tivo so they don't interfere with each other. No different than using the original Tivo remotes.

I have the HR10-250 DirecTV tivo and a series 2 TiVo. The HR10 is set at TiVo1 and the Series 2 TiVo is set at TiVo2 for the TiVo remotes. This works correctly. I just purchased an 880. I set up the two TiVos on it separately but it is controlling both TiVos no matter which one it is on. For example, if I press record both TiVos start to record no matter which TiVo is selected on the remote. Clear as mud? How do I get the Harmony to operate like the Series 2 remote and not interfere with the HR10-250? I called Logitech and he told me to do whatever I did to the TiVo remotes to get them assigned as TiVo 1 and TiVo 2 but that didn't seem to work. Thanks

We have been using the 880 since it was introduced. We have had no problems with programing or controlling. The only problem we have is the fact that the fast forward/reverse buttons are too close to the replay/skip buttons. So on a regular basis, while fast forwarding through a recorded show we accidentally hit the skip button. There just is not enough tactile feedback on the keys to help differentiat without looking at the remote.

Tivos have no power button - you can't turn it off, but then again you don't need to.
What do you mean by "allowed you to turn it off"? If it thinks your Tivo has power buttons you must have it configured wrong. Go back into your power settings and tell it you either have no power buttons or it stays on all the time, or both. If you send the (Dircetv)Tivo a power toggle, it will go into standby (looks as if it powered off).

I've never seen a reason to put the Tivo into standby mode. I just leave mine on until it has to be reset, which is about once every couple of years.
