Just had to post my condolences to the Earnhardt family. Besides home theater, NASCAR is one of my many hobbies. One of the all-time greats in my book. He has been/will continue to be a household name around here.

It does sicken me though, that ebay and the other auction people are trying to make a buck (or hundred) off of other true fans.

Long live #3

Bill

I share your offerings to the family. Although they probably all knew this day would come, it is nonetheless a terrible tragedy. ... Mike

I would also like to express my condolences to the Earnhardt family. I have been a #3 fan for years. I can not express how much I have enjoyed watching him race over the years. This tragedy has shook me to the core and made me reconsider if I can even watch anymore of it. The only thing that I do know for sure is that I nor NASCAR will ever be the same.---Dave

One half mile from a perfect day!

The way the race was supposed to go was that Owner Dale Earnhardt was to take 1st and 2nd place while Driver Dale Earnhardt was to take 3rd. Something went wrong at turn four and as Owner Dale Earnhardt took 1st and 2nd, Driver Dale Earnhardt was already dead - a half mile short of a perfect day!

I too, am sorry about his death, but I won't offer my condolences to the family as they probably don't read this forum.

Maybe if the thread gets long enough Daniel could find some way to see that the family is made aware of those here who are also saddened.
