I don't know if this is easy to do, but how about adding the last time and date that a forum was last changed to the main page. I am sure that there are a few of us that look at several forums, this way we will be able to know if someone has added something without actually clicking in the forum.

Um, that's on another page. Have you clicked on "Forums", in the LCD at the top of the screen, lately?

How about the "NEW" being beside each chat forum on the main page, based on "cookies" on the users' PC, as to whether anything is new since the user's last visit? Lotsa forums have them so you can see from the main page if there are any you have not seen at a glance!

Daniel: We have a never ending list of work we'd like you to do!!!

Daniel: Is your new cookie trick where you go into a thread and all the "NEW"s are bold, but are "greyed out" when you return, except for the ones that have posts since you were in the forum?

Anyway, would that be possible to be applied to my above post, where it has the bold "NEW" beside the forum name, which "greys out" if there is nothing new since you had last been to that forum?

Just a thought!

Greg :-)

Basically the bright NEW symbol indicates posts added to since your last visit (to that specific forum, though there's only one tracking this right now); the faded NEW symbol indicates posts within the last 24 hours. Of course if you don't visit for a few days there will be no faded NEWs.

It was at the bottom of the last page.

A little rescue from the archives...

I agree Anthony.. It's a bit hard to figure out, but there was not much direction to the indirection back then.

So many posts ago Daniel...

Is Anthony ever going to pass up your post #'s? You have a healthy lead, but is it increasing or decreasing?
