I responded to this ad for a RP6.

[Link: remotecentral.com]

I was told it would be shipped that day, then it changed to next day. Two days later it was needed to check with assistant, then it he stopped responding to emails and messages on this board.

I paid with paypal via a credit card, what is the chances I will get my money back?

The good news is I bought a remote on this site, and got it perfect from the seller.

Not sure of the rules and regulations in North America, but over here (UK) one does have a certain degree of protection against credit card fraud.

Over the years I've bought loads of stuff (some quite expensive) off flea-bay and the like and never had a problem. Always remember though . . .

I think you can dispute the payment with PayPal...also you could do the same with the credit card company.

If you have VISA, you're as good as gold. Call them up, write the letter to file the dispute, do what they say, and you will get refunded the full amount.

The only way that I would EVER (and I do on a daily basis) use paypal is with a credit card.

Paypal was not able to get the money back, I used a Master Card, and they are working on it for me.

Are you sending this thing, or did you sucker me in?

Sorry I didn't sucker you. I have been out of town. My secretary sent the RP6 out and it should be there soon, if not now. I just got off of a flight and will have the tracking number for you tomorrow, if you haven't received it yet.

There are no updates because he received the RP6, probably the day he made his last post on this thread. Ground shipping from the East Coast to the West Coast takes some time and that coupled with the fact that it wasn't shipped the day it was paid for lead to the delay. Not once did I receive an email, as I would've received it on my Blackberry and I had it on me. Being as how I was not in the country I hadn't had time to get on the internet to play around and didn't think that I needed to. My sales assistant/secretary was supposed to send it out. She hadn't received the paypal when I told her it was getting sent, as Maddy1 took about a week to send it. And since I thought it was taken care of I didn't check up on it until after I was in the airport bored checking on this site. I told him I was sorry it took so long. I guess he was worried he had been taken.

Actually your post is an update.

It's pleasing to hear the issue was simply a misunderstanding (been there myself) and has now been resolved.

Excessive AV got his money, and I have an extra RP6.

The equipment was like described, just took way to long to get to me. In the future, you should really provide a tracking number quicker.

It sounds like it's finally settled down for both parties...
