Seems like every talk show over the last week or so is now talking about a major economic meltdown... or a Great Depression #2 coming our way.
They are all saying, to sell everything and buy gold... The talking heads out there are really spinning this right now...

Should we quit consuming and buy Gold?!!

Doom and gloom, the meat and drink of the media. The danger here, methinks, is actually talking ourselves into a recession.

I agree with djy.
I love the way things here are not planned (NOT)

N power announces rising electricity cost one day next day the government announces building of nuclear power plants ..hmmn

With the cash cows of Electricity , Gas ,Water, Council tax , Income Tax , VAT , stamp duty , inheritance Tax , VAT, Petrol, insurance premium Tax etc etc The government here even as badly mis managed as it is has enough revenue and control of the economy to avoid any recession they just make us fear a bit about recession to make us feel like we have it good at the moment.

Talking about it, helped set-up the run on wall street, that resulted in the Great Depression... Now with the power of our Media (oversaturation) the idiots at CNN & the like will probably whip the hapless masses into another one.
