Did an inventory the other day of all the remotes I've accumulated over the last 12 years. Couldn't believe what I saw.

You made me go and look...I have a very similar collection, including ones for hardware I no longer have. I even discovered one where I'd forgotten to remove the batteries...wow what a mess!

Used ones: 1 for each room...that makes 7.

Unused ones (OEM or replacement): 18

Broken ones: 4

Unused OEM ones (still have the remote but not the equipment): 3

Miscellaneous (Camcorder, Portable DVD Player): 3

Total = 35

I don' tend to have my remotes all together (I always place them with the things they are supposed to control). So I have no idea. All I will say is too many, also chances are that sooner or later what ever you guys posted you will realize you missed one or two ((Oh yeah, there is that one with the fan, or that one with a digital picture frame, or that one for the memory card reader.....)

i can see 18 just in the office where i'm sitting, plus more boxed new ones.

can we count ones for customers where they've put them all in a drawer and swapped them for universals...nearing 100 i think.

Never Mind, I see it now.

I tried that method but I had to use a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. I couldn't see the TV.

You could always try nailing two together.
