It drives me crazy when I see people use "Sayings" that they obviously misunderstand.
For example, saw a thread here earlier today in one of the forums that said that "it's not nice to leave your customers, in the lurge. Now... lurge is not even a word I could find, but I'm assuming he means "in the lurch".
How about giving us some of your favorite "bad sayings" and their correct versions.
Here's a good one I heard yesterday:
Bad: Five of one, half a dozen of another!
Good: Six of one, half a dozen of another!
Meaning: Both options are equally correct.

Don't get me started!!!
I once worked in a high-end print shop and the Production Manager, who was used to old-style work and the corresponding terminology (before the computer age for print shops) always called it a "bit mat", instead of a "bit map". It used to drive me nuts!
I could fill a few pages with "Sayings that never were" or "Misused words" from this ONE GUY!!! Seriously!!!

Like I said, don't get me started!!!
