Then why all the talk about off brands such as TV's by Viore, Vizio, Westinghouse, Insignia, etc? Why DVD players by Curtis Mathis, Protron, Sylvania, etc. Programing Remotes to control these brands is tedious and a joke. Pairing a URC, RTI, Pronto, etc seems odd or inappropriate. Come on Pros, stop wasting time with this stuff, and sell or use real name brand Hardware. The money you save in the purchase price will be overcome by your search for codes, the unreliability of the product, etc. The threads here are full of topics related to name brand & high end stuff. Why lower our rep with this low end stuff from newbies.

The forum you are in is definitely not restricted to pros.
I can't tell a joke for the life of me, but I still post in this forum...
Oh... you mean RC as a whole?
Remote Central is for the newbie to the seasoned custom installer.
But, THIS forum is for kickin' back and watchin' karaoke on our Proton TVs and listening on our Fisher Price HTIB's!!! :-)

FYI I personally own a pioneer... so what if i leave my karaoke menu left on all day while i'm at work. saves me waiting the 2 seconds for my TV to power up when i get home, this way i can walk in the door and start belting it out without any delays.
