I'm a BIG Jeff Gordon Fan, and today's race was a real HEARTBREAKER!

I have a few favorites, and Tony Stewart is Number 2 on my list, but he sure wasn't
getting my vote TODAY!

NO ONE gets my vote when Jeff is leading the race, ha ha ha!

When I saw Jeff spin-out on that next to the last lap, I about died...and then I cried!

COMPLETELY RUINED THE REST OF MY DAY!!!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I was on Vacation.

I kind of lost interest when Jr. blew a motor.

I re-gained interest with the Harvick/Montoya fiasco.(I believe Harvick was in the wrong on that one)

I'm not a huge Jeff Gordon fan, but respect his abilities on the track.

After the restart, with Tony and Edwards hot on Gordons tail, I thought they would all wreck.

I was rootin' for Stewart, thinking it was going to be another victory for Jeff(tough guy to pass when he has a strong car) when Gordon locked the brakes entering turn 1, wobbled, and went of the track!

I'm still in shock.......I've never seen Gordon drive in too deep and not pull it out!?!?
It was a tough corner for many all day long but..........Jeff messed up????

Rare!

I'm glad Tony won.
With jr. out of the points race, I'm now a Stewart fan.

Jeff is on track to take another title this year, so you should be happy.

Oh.....and for the record.........I would NEVER waste my time watching a bunch of rednecks going around in circles ;-)
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

I felt so bad for Junior when that happened, cause he just blew an engine a couple
of weeks ago.

I like him, too, but he's been having some bad luck lately.

It's a shame he's out of the points race.

Johnson's had some bad luck lately, too, after doing so well at the beginning of the
season.

I like Carl Edwards, and I always root for him in the Busch Series.

I agree with you on the Montoya/Harvick thing.

Harvick blew up before knowing what really happened.

I was concerned with Jeff, Tony and Carl all being so close at the end, and I kinda
thought something might happen, but I didn't think it would be with Jeff.

SMOKE was applying some pressure, and Jeff kinda messed up!

Shocker...big time!

I'm happy Jeff's doing so well, though, cause I've been a fan of his since he first came
on the Nascar scene.

I started watching the races with my dad long time ago, and he was an Earnhardt
fan to the core.

I 'grew up' watching the black #3 car........he is(was?) my hero.

I have a couple of uncles that were heavy into the dirt track scene in the 70's and 80's. I loved those days!! I was a 'kid' but, I lived for the weekends!

I first saw Jeff Gordon win the midget championship at the 'Belleville high banks' (my hometown) back when we were both 'kids'!

He signed my hat!!

I sure wish I could find it now!!!

In reto-spect, the only thing I didn't like about Jeff when he first came onto the Nascar scene, was that he might be better than Dale Sr.!!

One of my favorite 'commercials' had Jeff saying " Dale keeps asking me to go hunting with him........do you think I should go??"

At that time, who would have thought that they had actually built a friendship between themselves?

Once again........for the record..........I only watch golf!!

There's nothing more exillerating than staring at a blue sky, wondering where the ball is ;-)

I wanted Jeff to win, but hey, Tony screwed up on the same corner, so Jeff's spin evened it out, although Jeff didn't have enough time to claw his way back like Tony did.

I've always been a Jeff Gordon fan, but love it when Tony wins fair and square. I loved the race. Those two are fantastic all around racers, going back to the USAC days!

Great racing today, although I do wish Jr. had better luck.

Kyle going to Gibbs, eh?!!! That's going to be quite the threesome there... Tony, Denny and Kyle.

It's going to be a good chase this year. Jeff doesn't have anything locked in except that he'll be in the chase, and I agree with Spencer that Tony, Denny, Jeff, and Jimmy are going to be the guys to fight it out in the chase to see who wins the championship, although you can't really count anyone out.

Nascar fan? Hell yeah! I record every race just in case I can't get back in time!!!

I want Jeff to take the championship, but I'd root Tony on if Jeff got behind. I like Tony (most times... he does put his foot in his mouth every now and again, but that's probably why I like him... feisty).

Great race today... and I think the COT's make for better racing because there's more the driver has to do than the old, silly-putty bent-out-of-shape cars they used to have.

Next year is going to be one of the best years yet, although this one has been a good one!

Later!

I was crushed that Jeff blew it!! He has been my guy since he came on the Cup scene.
Tony is also on my Fantasy team so it was good to see him win. I liked Carl Edwards dirt track slide at the end.................WOW!

Good race for a road course! Glad to see some NASCAR fans on the site!

It's only for 10 laps but I'm excited.
We're in the middle of a 100degree + heatwave, but I think I can man it out ;-)

The funny part is I never even mentioned it to her!
I'm not sure how she found out that it even existed!

It was easly the most supprised I've ever been!!!

Well, I'm back from my 'racing experience'!!

First, I would like to say that I've raced moto-X, go karts(high powered,120mph 'frames') some dirt track stock cars, as well as 'quads' (Banshee's).

THIS gave me a MUCH higher respect for the 'rednecks going in circles'!!

The 'starts' were staggered(some were runnining full speed when I pulled onto the track for the first time!).

The visibility leaves something to be desired. You can't turn your head and the 'mirror' was a blurr at first!!

The first 3 laps were spent 'climatizing' to the car and track, trying to stay out of the way!

By lap 4, I was FINALLY comfortable and found the fast line around the track after being passed(O.K, blown by!) by 4 cars.

The last car that passed me wasn't near as dramatic(speed wise, as I was finally up to speed!) and I latched on and finally passed him on lap 8.

What a blurr!!!

I'm sure I dented the floorboard trying to pass!!

It's MUCH harder than it seems when the cars are 'equal', and he won't budge from the 'fastest line' ;-)

The wall comes up VERY FAST(finally deciding on the high line to pass) as you drift up towards it, feathering the throttle to maintain enough front grip, as well as enough speed to pass at 165mph+!!

About the time that I finally felt like 'I was on my game', my checkered flag came out, and it was time to 'coast' into the pits :-(

Next time (and there WILL be a next time) I'm going to spend the extra $$$ and go for the 40 lap package :-)

I have too many commitments to consider racing 'full time' at this point in my life :-(

This was close enough!! At least I can still dream of what 'might have been' ;-)

My wife, on the other hand, thinks that 'once is enough' ;-)

She stressed the whole time I was on the track!!

What speeds did you get up to?

And, you've GOT to go for the 40-lapper!!!... at least so I can live vicariously through you!

Very cool! Thanks for getting back to us and posting bout your experience.
