Hind sight being 20/2o Thon brought up a good point. There is definatly more to this whole thing that meets the eye. With the whole Iran thing going to heck right now it is not a bad idea that we just happen to have a couple of hundred thousand troops right next door! Not to mention the air bases that are right there.

You think we are in a war right now, let Iran get a Nuke. There is a small little country over there that has a white flag with a star on it, that is not going to sit back and WAIT for Iran to use that thing.

If my memory serves me right, in 1996 when they (Iran) was doing the whole Nuke thing I think that said name country sent in a few jets to redo the landscaping! :)

Talk about some crazy times.......... that could get ugly.....fast!

My (then) bosses' uncle died in 9/11 -- my boss held out hope for about 10 days of his unclebeing found alive.
I just don't think that what we are doing in Iraq will prevent another attack. I'm sure there are many radical extremests in our country right now on work & student visas.
We could wipe out all the al quaida down there, yet there are cells of them world-wide now along with wannabee nut-jobs or goofball losers who are sympathisers.
All it would take is one of those idiots to cause a lot of damage...

Good news everyone!!

It's all over... Global warming, Iraq war, oppression, hunger, urban blight, racism, cancer, partisan politics, religious intolerance, and crime.

It is all over.

So get back to discussing electronics, will ya!!

I WAS with you Rick. But I get a tad sensitive over the military.... sorry.

So where can I get some speaker wire?

Hey by the way I was wanting to do my own home and I need some advice. Abus or Crestron?

I got a great deal on some Crestron on line.... need a cheap programmer to help me program. Small system should only take about 5 minutes of your time.

LOL

The problem is that, historically, we have ignored terrorist activity, or at most, paid it lip service until it resulted in 9/11. The problem does not go away by ignoring it.

OK, let's talk about speaker wire and skin effect. One never ending argument is as good as the next, and God help me I actually like the arguments.

No... It doesn't and you don't get rid of a wasp problem by sticking a stick in the side of the nest either.

And for the record, I have done some
tours in the middle east and in Africa, and have 12 friends
over there RIGHT NOW and if you ask the honest people
darn right they are happy.

So they are happy that they cannot go to the town without fear of another car bomb going off & killing 50 or 60 innocent people? They are happy to be living in absolute terror?

Sitting ducks?

Riding through the towns in poorly armored vehicles with shooters up on the rooftops and in the hills just waiting ... yeah that's pretty close to being a sitting duck. Sure we shoot back - when we know where and when to shoot.

For those of you that think "we'll kick their asses in Iraq & it'll be done" may not realise that Al Quaida have active cells in all of the major countries now...

So even if Iraq and Iran were flooded out by the melting ice caps (Global Warming)... there are cells of these jokers in N. Korea, Africa, Arabia, South America, The UK, France, The U.S. -- so putting all of our eggs into a blow sh*t up in Iraq plan isn't going to accomplish much.

This ain't the wild west...

Really? So we didn't try and convict the terrorists that bombed the twin towers in 1993? Didn't pursue the bombers of the Cole, of Kohbar Towers, or the Marine barracks in Beruit? Or arrested, tried convicted and carried out the sentences of our own domestic terrorists McViegh and Kozinski?

Please don't cite history without getting the facts right. Google can be your friend.

The problem does not go away by ignoring it.

You're certainly proving that point here. :-)

Your analogies suck. You are right you don't poke the side of the wasp nest, you bash it to bits and dump wasp poison over everything. Comprendez?
