Just seen the debate and i felt mc cain did well he constant what obama doesnt seem to understand really played on his experience and obamas lack of it, mc cain was far more coherent than i thought he would be ..but everything does seem to be about Vietnam for mc cain it has understandably shaped his ideas and principles.

I think The USA as a whole will vote Mc Cain i really do after seeing the debate not because Obama was bad but because Mc cain didnt come across as bad as i thought he would.

I think there is a section of America that will lap up the old timer with experience ..war hero ..i personally don't think that's what the world needs.

While I agree too, that McCain did better than I expected, Barrack held his ground well. Many folks have mentioned that McCain never once looked at Obama or made eye contact with him... The polls over here say that Obama won the first debate.

The Vice Presidential debate is next week. Today the Repubs held a "practice" debate with Palin, but half way through ended it because it was a train-wreck!

I think it will be a close election, but I think "O" will win. A lot of the under 35 year old crowd want a change, especially - and I think they'll come out of the woodwork, and vote for Obama.

It's official now, Obama is the man!

It's beginning to look that way, but it's never over until the fat lady sings!

Both candidates voted for the "leave no bank behind" bill. I feel the same way now that i felt when i found out santa was really just a guy stealing our presents.

Palin, Spoke actually fairly well, although she didn't really answer the questions she was asked. She still said a lot of goofy stuff, and kept winking at the camera, like she was flirting with all the red - neck males watching... THAT was pretty pathetic.
She basically recited a lot of "talking points" that were drilled into her over the last week at the Old - Mans" house in Arizona.
Biden did very well, and held back on stomping her into the dirt.
Overall it was sort of boring with no real heated exchanges, or earth shattering revelations.

I just saw a Palin speech

[Link: news.bbc.co.uk]

Where she said Obama doesnt see America like you and i see America straight after saying he associates with terrorists and that patriotism means higher taxes..I felt the tone had a very Surreptitious meaning especially the "he doesnt see America like you and i see America"..i felt this will definitely appeal to a certain segment of Americans.

I am seriously worried if she becomes VP!
Diplomacy is out the window , never talk to you enemies (as the UK government did in Ireland and now we have peace) pro gun , fundamental religious beliefs ...I am seriously worried..
