Seems you visit the same places as me, though I must confess, I prefer The Inquirer. I have fond memories of The Hermit; told me the best way to skin a rabbit.

In which case you'll be aware that it was, in fact, Mike Magee who founded it; then, after a few years, had a bit of a serious wobbler with the other senior staff; left in a huff (taking a number of forum members with him - Don being one) and started The Inquirer.
