Hi all,

Sorry if this is going in the wrong forum, but it's not about any remote brand in particular.

I was reading the review for the Sony RM-VL710, and it describes how you can use the device buttons (TV/DVD/etc.) as macro buttons, if you hold them down for 2 seconds. This would let me switch my HK AVR-135 to TV/DVD/etc. at the same time that I change the remote's mode to control the given device.

The problem is that I really don't like the look of the RM-V710! Are there any other remotes out there in this price range that will let me do this? I have my AVR-135 doing all of my video switching, and I don't want to have to hit DVD on my universal remote and then DVD on my HK remote as well. I don't mind the look of the URC / Kameleon / One for All remotes, but their manuals all say not to use the Device buttons as macro/learning buttons.

Thanks all,

- Sam

Never mind, bought a Harmony 520 and it's taking care of everything.
