I really didn't know what forum to put this in. The brand of remotes I have a question about are Sylvania and Symphonic (part of the Funai company). My problem is that I have two VCRs and both remotes control both VCRs (my Symphonic one controls the Symphonic VCR and the Sylvania one, and vice versa). Is there anyway I can fix it so that each remote only controls the VCR it came with?

Yeah, buy a new vcr, one that isn't made by the main company. Like a Sony, Panaisonic, or something of that sort.

As Anthony says any other solution will cost more than buying a new VCR.unless you dont want one VCR to be remote at all.for example if you only use it for recording from one VCR to the other then you could put a small piece of tape over the sensor on the front of one of the VCR's remote sensors. Apart from that ...sorry i cant help.

Yep. Put a piece of duct tape over one of the VCR's IR window. When you want to use it, get up off the couch and push the button manually.

Geeesh, do I have to think of everything?

Another solution would be to put a carboard wall with a video on either side of the wall and one remote on each side of the wall. This wall would have to go all the way across the room to your arm chair.see theres always a solution goodnf!
