Hi,

I am using a Nevo Q50 and have been struggling to import the hex codes I have been given by the manufacturer.

I would really like to understand how to convert these codes into something the Nevo will accept (and actually work).

I have a spreadsheet of codes from ADA that look like this:

Power OffFF 03 00 01 08 0C FF

My problem is getting this to a form that Nevo accepts. Now thanks to some kind sole on AVS who provided some Pronto codes of the earlier Suite 7.1 model I have confirmed that the following works as the power off command but none of the other codes I was given work.

0000 0068 0000 000B 0020 0123 0020 0041 00C2 0020 0123 0020 0020 0020 00E2 0020 0081 0020 0081 0020 0060 0041 0081 0020 0020 0517

Can anyone explain how I might go about translating my spreadsheet of codes to a format that works on my Nevo like this?

Thanks.

Adam

The second form you posted is "Pronto Hex". I didn't know enough about Nevo's to even know it could import Pronto Hex.

I know how translate from the format you showed first into Pronto Hex. But it is harder to describe than to do. No programs that I know of do the whole job.

If you email the spreadsheet of codes to me, I can probably find a spare moment to do the translation for you and email the results back.

You can find my email address in the profile.

Thanks John, a very kind offer. :)

The whole spreadsheet is massive so I'll cherry pick a few and send it over.

Sorry for not replying sooner!

Unfortunately the IR codes seemed a bit hit and miss so I ended up using the RS232 connection on the NevoConnect and couldn't be happier. I can't get over how more responsive things are. :)

Thanks for all your help though.

I was never able to get the NEVO serial cable (attached to the NC-50) to work with serial devices. I gave up and use IR but if HEX is faster than I'll give it another shot. I have a Denon AVR5700. Their RS-232C Connection spec is:

- DB-9 female type slave straight connection
- Half Duplex
- 9600bps
- 8 bit
- Start and Stop bit is 1 bitTheir

Serial command for "System Power On" is: PWON
Serial Command for "Master Volume Up" is: MVUP

Is that format acceptable for the NEVO Q50?

Also trying to get an EPSON projector to respond the IR HEX commands. The ASCII "Power On" command for the projector is:

:PWR ON (RETURN COMMAND)

Not sure what the Epson return command is. How would I get this code to something NEVO compatible?

These coomands are a lifesaver for my MX-900I and ADA cinema rhapsody MACH iV remote! Thank you so much, they're a bit jumpy, but still better than nothing, It's a shame my remote doesn't have an adjustable delay!
