Nope. The only TV make that has had this in the past that I am aware of is Sony but these days I do not think they even have this feature. Alright, thanks, seems that I am stuck with the macro...

Hi!
Just found this site, very useful! I'm new to IR code stuff and I'm coding a tiny app to control my Samsung plasma TV with my Samsung Galaxy S4. Finally, now more than 1 year later it's done. I sat down again a few days ago, finalized the app and uploaded everything to Google Play Store. My first app on Google Play *proud*! Now there are plenty of tested codes implemented - overall 69 different buttons to implement every working Samsung HEX code I could find here. Therefore, I guess at the moment it may be (?) the android IR-blaster app with the most buttons / TV functions implemented. At least I couldn't find one that has more working buttons ;) No fancy other stuff, just Big Buttons - Working Buttons! And a layout that I've tested and improved over and over for one year now. I don't use my original TV remote anymore... It wouldn't have been possible without this great HEX code thread! Thanks for your help!
:)

Does anyone know what the Pronto code is for the HDMI4 direct input button for an UN65JS9000 SUHD TV? I tried the prior suggestion of button code 197, but that didn't work. I've been systematically working my way through all the Pronto codes from the first few posts, but none of them seem to do what I need. 194 goes direct to HDMI3, so some of what's here seems to line up, but not all of it. Thanks.

How do I use the codes provided here? For instance the code 7 is given for volume up. How do I make that into a HEX code for IR?

I assume you have a remote that accepts codes in Pronto Hex format. Download and install IRScrutinizer. On the Generate tab, pick protocol NECx2, D 7, S 7, and F 7 (for vol up). Then click Generate. Enter other codes in the F box, i.e., 11 for vol down, leaving all the other boxes as is. Make sure under the Options menu that Pronto hex is the Output Text Format.
Having said all that, every possible Pronto hex command is already listed in posts 1-3. So just look up the Function you need, and copy/paste the Pronto hex into your remote configuration software.

A few points. First: "Facts: Samsung use the same IR Protocol for all their Plasma, LCD and LED TVs." is NOT a fact. Second: I am trying to program a Samsung UN32J5003 into a RTI T2i remote and the on and off codes do not work. The power toggle does work but discreet's do not. If anyone has the separate "on" and "off" codes for this TV, please post them, thank you in advance.

I'd really like to see the exceptions. I've never come across anything but NEC protocol for any Samsung TV in the past 20 years, going all the way back to their CRTs. Do they subcontract some models to other companies that use their own protocols? I have seen several other protocols in older models (older than 20 years or so).
In any case, do you suspect that the on/off codes for your model are an entirely different protocol? That would be almost unprecedented. It's far more likely that their cheaper models simply don't have discrete on/off.
Also, since you're using RTI, can you not simply use a variable to keep track of the on/off state. In the JP1 world we simply use toadtog bits. Works fine for TOADs. Surely RTI can do something similar.

Have anyone use zaza remote apk for Android phone? It is a programable ir application that can be used along with "Zaza Infrared Smartphone Smart Remote Control" micro USB version. It can learn ir codes from other ir remote. But i got problem with the More button of samsung ua55f8000 remote tv. The remote is model aa59-00777a which using bluetooth connectivity on the button's except the power button.
In logitech harmony forum, the developer had added the database of the More button. Can anyone transfer it to the zaza remote cloud sync? I would be very appreciate to anyone could do that.
Sorry for my bad English.

Do we have a confirmed working HDMI 4 Discrete code for late model Samsung TVs? I tried all the codes here and none of them worked.

I have also tried all 255 codes for my Samsung (UK UE55JS8000) without success. I am in email conversation with Samsung support over this, but its very hard going getting them to understand the question. I will post back if I get anything useful. Till then this macro does the job TV 2 secs delay Source 4x(.2s delay, right arrow) .2s delay select KP
