Hi!

Just found this site, very useful! I'm new to IR code stuff and I'm coding a tiny app to control my Samsung plasma TV with my Samsung Galaxy S4.

I've used these first: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Vol +-, Ch+- and Power working so far. "Info" I found in this thread.

But I "Guide" doesn't work:

Guide

([Link: remotecentral.com])

Also can't find a code for Guide anywhere else...

TV model: Samsung PS50B650
Software Revision: T-CHLCIPDEUC-2008 2

Please anybody help :(

I had to look at the manual to see what "guide" was supposed to do. I was staring at another series 6 samsung remote without the guide function. Are you running an analog antenna/cable signal into the back of your TV that you would need the on screen guide for?

Those codes are posted are from several different Samsung TVs. They are different protocols and devices within that protocol. Knowing that your TV responds to power and volume, we know that the TV may likely like codes that are

protocol=NECx1 and device=7 and subdevice=7. The codes for guide and info are protocol=NECx2, device =5, subdevice=5.

Here is a code for for a Samsung plasma that may do something for you.

Thanx! I found out that this is working for Guide:

0000 006D 0000 0022 00AC 00AB 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0689

It brings up a menu called "Mini Guide" (EPG). You can set Timer Viewing from this menu which is very useful.

Got a few more, my remote is growing :)

So I'm still looking for

Tools (43 proposed but no function on my tv)

BTW, does anybody want to test my app? It supports 34 codes from this list so far ... It's developed on Galaxy S4, but it could run aswell on other IRDA enabled android smartphones ...

I'm not seeing "Tools" in the last link you posted. Do you have another list somewhere you are referring (43) to?

Oh, and BTW, somebody in another thread suggested 001 for Power On -- worked for me.

How do I work these codes?

Hi All,

Anyone knows where can I get codes for the BD-D5500? We have a client that owns it and we need to add it to RTI system.

Almost any Samsung BD code set in the RTI library should work. You may have a few codes somewhat unique to that model that you will lack. Most important fact... the are likely no discrete power commands for Samsung BD players unless something has changed. I use a play to turn it on and play-delay-power toggle to turn it off.

Has anyone found a discrete that switches the sound output on a Samsung HU8500/8550 from "TV Speaker" to "Audio Out"? The menu selection is found under Sound/Speaker Settings/TV Sound Output.

I can do this via a macro on the MX-980, but it's slow to run, tedious actually, and a discrete would be a much better solution.

Thanks.

Nope. The only TV make that has had this in the past that I am aware of is Sony but these days I do not think they even have this feature.
