Those two samples of Pronto Hex are exactly the same signal. Pronto Hex can look like it is different without actually being different.

I'll try to find some time later to find out if there is some chip for recognizing that protocol.

I am still looking for a solution on this topic - and have heard that there are

learning IR receivers (the opposite of learning remotes).

Does anyone know of such products, of companies that make them

ideally in Europe?

Many thanks.....

The only info I could find on the signals you posted is that the Motorola MC44107 chip encodes those signals. I couldn't find any chip that decodes those signals.

You also never answered the issue that your P signal and DR+P signal are actually the same signal. Your plan seems to depend on those being different signals.

I expect the following idea would be out of your price range, but I don't know, and it shouldn't hurt you any to ask them:

Notice their kit number 92.
To invent that kit, they took a generic microprocessor and programmed it to be a decoder for a specific IR protocol (NOT the protocol you want). That and various other kits they offer imply that they have the expertise to invent a custom IR decoder with less effort than would be required by a typical custom programming shop.
Try asking them what it would cost to create the decoder you want.

In the meanwhile I have understood how this remote works. One has to press the DR (or DVD) button and P+ simultaneously.

Here are the codes

P+
0000 0072 0000 0008 0013 0060 0013 0026 0026 0026 0026 0026 0026 0026 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 10A4

DR & P+
0000 0072 000B 0008 0013 0060 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 0013 02E1 0013 0060 0013 0026 0026 0026 0026 0026 0026 0013 0013 0026 0013 0013 0013 10A4

DVD & P+
0000 0072 0000 000F 001D 006C 0030 0054 002A 002A 0014 002A 0014 0054 002A 0011 0014 0043 0016 0011 0014 0043 0014 0054 002A 0043 0014 0011 0014 0011 0014 0043 0014 0829

They are now different

Also Thanks for the link.

Since I am in Europe it is easier for me to find an European technical suppier to develop such a learning device - however if there would be one out there ready to buy off the shelf I would certainly prefer this one.

Currently our technicians are trying to understand and develop such a device - it would be very helpful to have one to take a look at.....
