I've searched the forums and unfortunately I'm still stuck. I can't find discrete on/off codes, the "Play" button won't turn it on, and my remote doesn't have a "Tray Open" button. There's gotta be SOMETHING I can do!

Can anyone help me out? I have a Marantz RC5200. Any codes at all that you think might work!

Samsungs optical players have always been a pain to control. Just exchange it for a Sony or a Panasonic or something else. Samsung optical don't have the best rep for usability, performance or reliability. They have promised discrete codes for 2 years now for the DVD players yet they keep "forgetting" to put them in there, even specifically after listing it as a feature for the model. Vote with your wallet and send it back if you can.
