Does anyone have a working discrete code for the HDMI3 port of the Samsung HLT series TV's ? The below one doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks.

That HDMI3 code work with the LN-Txxxx units. The HL-Txxxx series have a different HDMI3 code.

There have been several on going discussions about the two different code protocols used by Samsung. The codes listed in the post I sent you to are NEC2 codes. You may want to try the NECx2 codes listed in this post...

the NECx2 codes are posted near the end of the thread.

I am having the exact same problem with the HDMI3 input on my HLT 5076S. I've tried every HDMI and DVI code in the discrete code section as well as on the thread listed above that discusses the NEC2 codes. I can not find a discrete HDMI 3 code that works. Anyone else having a similar problem with the HLT 5076S? Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I appreciate any input (no pun intended). :) Thanks.

These are the codes for the new Samsung LCD's (LN-T). Does not work on DLP's (HL-T).

The codes I posted are two versions that are commonly found with Samsung sets.

Plasmas and newer LCDs seem to use NECx2 codes
Older LCDs and some DLPs seemed to use NEC2 codes

Did you test both of these codes or did you assume that they would not work?

Do have have documentation that both of these codes work for LNTs?

Post a working code from your native remote and a working hex code taken from one of the several Samsung threads here on RC (tell me where you copied it from) and I will examine them and hopefully clarify the HDMI3 situation.

You might want to try this one as someone posted this over at AVSForum (I'd link but the site is down right now):

194: HDMI 3
0000 006C 0022 0000 00AD 00AD 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0728

I don't know what protocol or device was used to generate this though...I have similar codes for HDMI 1 and 2. Not home so I cannot test 3 to validate it.

I purchased an HL-T5087S on July 1. I have been following the discussion on this website for a while and I have contacted Samsung US customer Service on this issue mutiple times. I have two open tickets with Samsung for months and I also spoke to a supervisor (Chris) who was also unable to resolve this issue but suggested to request resolution via a written request. So far, Samsung has not resolved this issue. All codes posted on this website do not work for the HDMI3 input on my TV, and others seem to have the same issue. It is entirely unclear to me why Samsung US Customer Service ignores this problem. If the problem is an unknown code, a resolution for US Customer Service could be as simple as sending an e-mail to the Samsung business unit which developed the new HL-T series TVs and request that the codes be sent. If the problem is a technical defect in the HL-T series, it will not simply go away by ignoring it. Quite to the contrary, the cost to Samsung will increase with increasing number of defective units sold.
So if you have the same issue, please send a written request to Samsung by going to the samsung.com website, go to the "contact us" link at the very bottom of the page, select DLP TV. Don't be irritated by the fact the the "model" pull-down menu on the next page will not even show any HL-T series models. I selected another model and specified in the body of my request which model I am talking about. And you need to be patient, Chris told me that the backlog is at least two weeks. Hopefully, if enough people report about this problem, Samsung US customer service will finally consider investigating it.
