Hello,

Does anyone have discreet codes for the JVC HR-A592U vcr?
Logitech Harmony remotes are Crippleware.

Some of the remotes and VCRs can be set up so that you can use one remote and control two different JVC VCRs - or use one remote for each and have totally independent control. So there is an A set of commands and a B set of commands.
A little nuts, but I'm single so I can usually get away with it.

:-D

Unfortunately, none of the on/off codes worked.
I suspect that this model does not support discrete on/off codes at all.

That surprises me. Every JVC VCR I've come across in the last 10 years (at least a dozen different models) responded to the discrete on and off codes.

I sent the codes, as posted on that page, to Harmony support and they added them to the device. The VCR did not respond to them.

It is possible that something went wrong during the process but, so far, I have not heard any success story for that particular model.
