Anyone have discrete on/off codes for the Sonic Blue/Go Video DVR 4200 combo DVD/VCR for the Pronto NG?

In the event this helps, here's the code for the power toggle:

0000 006D 0024 0000 0155 00AC 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0600 0155 0056 0016 00AC

Not sure why this code is so long; here's the code for the Fwd button:

900A 006D 0000 0001 6E91 03FC

Thanks for any help you can provide,

-- Dave

There are so many different VCRs with that code set, that I can't think of a way to search my collection of IR data for a discrete on/off for it. Anyway, I think it is very unlikely that there is a discrete on or off.

I don't know why ProntoEdit didn't automatically translate the power toggle to the condensed form. The learn of power toggle looks good enough to translate.

It would translate to

900A 006D 0000 0001 6E91 14EB

I don't think that condensed form would be any different than the long form.

If you really think there is a discrete on command, you could use MakeHex with NEC1.irp device 110 and generate all 256 commands, use IrPanels.exe to make that into a ccf and whatever (I hope you know better than I) to import the CCF into a PCF. Then verify that button 20 (which is power toggle) can turn the device off (to show all that importing etc. went right) and with the device off press each of the numbered keys other than 20. If any key other than 20 turns it on, you have a likely discrete on command.

John:

Thanks, I'll give MakeHex and IrPanels a try. The new ProntoEditNG has a menu item to import CCFs automatically into PCFs; very straightforward.

Thanks again,
