Hey all

Got a Kiss DP558 and im having a few problems someone maybe able to help with..

I have a Universal Remote MX700 and i am having alot of trouble learning the codes to this unit. Is there something speacial i should be doing or are these unit just difficult to use. it jsut seems i can test the code it will work and i come back to it, it wont work, seems to be very inconsistent

or are there macros that can be used to make it easier. All advice please.

Also how about Discrete codes at all???

I don't know about the MX 700 capabilities, but the one Kiss unit I've seen used RC5 codes. RC five uses a toggle bit that changes on every press of a command. It sounds like the 700 isn't toggling the bit but rather just staying as learned. For example you would not be able to enter 11- the first 1 would work but the second won't. To test you could send the 1 then send something else but cover the emitter then try the 1 again it should work. If this is the case investigate whether the MX700 can handle RC5 toggles.

Many thanks for that.

Next Question.

Does anyone know if the MX700 or MX850 is compatible with RC5 Codes as discribed in the Threat above????

I'd ask the question in the Universal Remote forum:
