Hi all,
Been looking at a lot of information contained on this site and many threads. I have recently purchased a harmony 880 and have 2 devices that I am looking for specific discrete ir commands.

I have a Zenith (LG) DVB318 DVD player and have adopted the play=on code work around for the remote. If anyone has a discrete on/off codes please let me know.

Also back to the sony issue - Sony KDF-50WE655. I have been reading in many threads from other tv manufacturers that the Antenna/Tuner toggle is a real pain to find discrete IR codes for. If anyone has them for the sony LCD rear projection line also please let me know. All of the other Video 1-7 discrete IR codes worked very well from Harmony but the antenna/tuner signal is not discrete.

Thanks for all your help.

You might want to try going to a video input before choosing antenna. It will remember without toggling

AVFriend,
I'm not quite sure I follow.

With the TV remote - you could cycle between the video inputs to get to the Tuner/Antenna input or you could just press the tuner/antenna button to jump there. Once there, if it was on the tuner (press again) and get to the antenna. The TV always remembered what you were in last (tuner or antenna). Harmony does have the code to get to the Tuner/Antenna input but there is no way to select which one to go to by itself. Whatever you were last in will always be first to come up.

Are you talking about ANT A/B? The "ANT" button on the original TV remote control? If so, then there are no discretes.

If you're talking about something else then I'm lost. :-)

Daniel,
I guess that you call it antenna a/b. It is the antenna/guide button on the Sony TV remote. I also assume I'm out of luck because very few TVs seem to have discretes for the ANT a/b function.

Thanks though.

I just looked at the picture of the remote that comes with that TV, and the "Guide" label is just an alternative function when in satellite mode.

May I ask why you need ANT A/B? I'm interested because it seems that a fair number of people use it, but I can't figure out why unless there's some strange local cable distribution method that needs two wires.

Daniel,
First let me say thanks for looking into the problem. Really the problem only arose because I don't yet have a HD sat receiver - thus the antenna is to the TV for the HD channels. Without having a harmony remote I just automatically set up the VCR to enter the other coax input. Having the remote has unveiled the flaw with that logic and I plan just to move the VCR to another input on the TV. When I get a HD sat receiver/pvr in the future I will move the antenna to the receiver keeping the VCR elsewhere and will avoid the ANT A/B function alltogether.

As for the other people - my guess is that either they have already filled all the TV inputs (damn that has to be hard to do) or that they, like myself are looking for antenna HD and just defaultly hooked up the VCR or some other device to the 2nd Coax input. Oh well - in the end suck it up and move the VCR connections.

Again thanks for looking - all time is greatly appreciated.

Well that's likely the toggle version, he was looking for discrete A/B codes (which do not exist and, even worse, there's also no workaround as there is no way to always get the set into a specific state).
