I am a noob at this so please bare with my questions.
I need to get the discrete on and discrete off codes for many components to use on my URC 6011 which I plan to then learn to my MX-600.

I need codes for the following:

Pioneer Receiver VSX-35TX
Panasonic DVD XP-30
LG HDTV Receiver LST-4200A
JVC VCR
Pioneer HDTV Monitor SD-643HD5

Thanks for the help. I think I will need some instruction also becuase I know this is probably not easy to do.

As for the pioneer receiver, the preset code for the pioneer receiver, 1023, in the 6012 doesn't accept advanced codes. You need AMP code 0013.

The jvc vcr, if you're using A-codeset, code 0067 in the 6012, the advanced codes are ON-248, OFF-247.

It's a code not in the 6012, you need to send it in for an upgrade or get another OFA remote with code 0013 on board. such as the urc-8820/10820. OFA remotes in the 3 years haven't had AMP code 0013 preset. If you can find a Radio shack 15-2103 or 2116/7 have code 0013.

You can't use it unless you send your remote in to have that setup code added.

Thanks for all the help. So once I get this 0013 code in my remote it will contain the discrete on and discrete off codes? My goal is to get these codes in the URC 6011 then learn them to my MX-600. Is this the easiest way?

Also, what about the on/off discrete codes for my other devices such as the Panasonic DVD and the LG 4200A HDTV Receiver?

When it comes to the mx-600, its the only way. The advanced codes are ON-247, OFF-251. If you do get the 8820/10820, then the codes would be 00247 & 00251, since they only accept 5 digit advanced codes.

I looked up the amp code 0013 and I did not see an advanced code discrete for power on and power off? What is the link? I was looking at this page [Link: hifi-remote.com]

There is no other link, I found these while searching advanced codes, trying each one, one at a time.

where can I get one of those cheap priced remotes from? They seem to be obsolete. Preferrably a local place so I can go and pick it up. (94061 zip)
Thanks,
Derek

You could pick up the urc-8910 from Best Buy, then have code 0013 loaded over the phone. The Radio Shack models are on clearance, you would need to search store by store.

I just played around with my URC 6011 and it accepted the amp 0013 code. I was able to use it to control my Pioneer Receiver. However, I tried the advanced codes and they did not work. The remote accepted the advanced code, but they would not talk to the receiver. Any idea what is going on?

I don't care how you played with 6011, code AMP 0013 isn't in it, PERIOD. There might be another device key that accepts code 0013, but it won't be AMP code 0013. Which only works on the AUD key, if it were on board, which it isn't. Bye.

I don't have an explanation for this either. All I know is that it accepted the code to the rec/amp button and I was able to operate my Pioneer with 0013. Also, I do not see an AUD key on the 6011.

Do this;

1. press AUD
2. press and hold SET for two blinks
3. enter 0-1-5-8

4. press AUD
5. press and hold SET for two blinks
6. enter 0-0-1-3

Now tell me it works, and i'll believe you. :)

No one said there wasn't code that would control the pioneer, its 1023, but it doesn't accept advanced codes. I say, your remote was set to code 1023, you applied code 0013, it didn't take, and so its still set to code 1023.
