Was working until I pulled the system down to update equipment, and the remote will no longer pair.

It still operates the TV volume/power but will not effect any Tivo functions even via IR.

I can still operate the Tivo via the old MX980, so all is not lost.

It's just that the bride prefers using the Tivo remote.

Any ideas on why it would just up and stop working?

Figured it out. The remote had been corrupted for some reason.

I had to default it, the start from scratch.

The only thing it doesn't do now is power the TV on and off, although it does control the TV volume.

Weird stuff with old tech...
