Good morning- I'm trying to determine whether a URC MRF-260 is working and need some help, since I haven't programmed a URC in more than 6 years. I know the remote is sending IR, but haven't seen any flashes on the MRF-260, even though I have IR/RF set for all devices and power commands work when I aim the remote toward the equipment. I tried setting the MRF to channel 0 and didn't see any response from the status LEDI matched the remote's RF channel with the MRF. Any ideas? AFAIK, the MRF was working when it was removed from a system. Thanks. |

Place the 260 on channel 0 next to a peice of euipment that likely gives off interference like many cable or sat boxes. But I have also seen it with receivers. If the the status LED comes on good chance the 260 is fine and the 780 is the problem.

I should have updated this sooner, but it does work, but the range is very short if I use the emitter in the base. Not going to ignore the possibility that the 780 is bad. |
