So I have a client with two Fire Sticks (different rooms)in his system. It's a URC Total Control. We had used a Flirc originally on the MBR system when the system was installed about 2020 and used a Flirc USB adapter and it works fine.
Recently he added a Fire Stick in another room. I ordered another Flirc on Amazon and it doesn't work. I swapped the two adapters (MBR and new room) and the original one worked in the new room (so my programming is good) and the new one doesn't work in the MBR.
Either FLirc has changed the USB adapter somehow or I got a bad one......
Does anyone have any experience with new Flirc adapters??

I am using the most recent FLIRC adapter and windows software to config. I configured FLIRC for NVidia Shield Pro and using it with the TSU9600. I am not having any issues. Have you updated the unit to most recent FLIRC firmware and PC software?

I actually didn't do any update or software work. I just plugged it into the fire Stick adapter and put my emittter on it. I have flirc Ir codes in my URC software already. This is how we did the original flirc adapter. I know my codes work since I tried the original flirc adapter in the new room.
Do the new flirc adapters need programming? I'd think it would work like the original unit did.
From your post maybe I need to tell the adapter I'm using a fire stick? I thought the adapter was just an ir receiver, the actual ir codes are coming from my URC system.

Not to hijack, I have a newer fire stick but was using rf oem remote in addition to my URC mxhome remote system. Ordered the FLIRC Fire TV edition after reading the original post since I guess I never knew about these things.

Downloaded software plugged into laptop and picked Fire TV from dropdown menu used existing sony bluray codes and I can't believe it worked perfectly for all codes that were put in via the learning GUI in the software.

I didn't even need to put an emitter on the adapter, it worked flawlessly from the MX Home base ir blaster.
