A few years ago I would not consider wireless HDMI, but technology improves. i currently have a couple installations that could benefit from wireless HDMI (running wires is not practical). eARC is not needed. What are you using? 4K video a must. |

You still shouldn't really consider it. What's the application? There are some things out there that would be.... fine.... for something like presenting a laptop (but there are way better ways to do that) but nothing I would ever use for video. You don't make money selling boxes, you make money every time you don't have to roll a truck to go fix something for free. Wireless HDMI is just asking for service calls. |

In one case a Blu-ray player will be across the room from the TV in a condo. The other is sending video to a ceiling mounted projector.

The J-Tech WEX4K-50 is the only wireless extender I would even try this with. [Link: amazon.com]I would make it VERY clear to the customer that NONE of these devices are guaranteed to work - or stay working long term.
The amount of bandwidth needed to send 4K video is a lot! And that bandwidth is continuous, that last part is what makes it tricky. They need to be under ideal RF conditions to work. And that can change over time. |

Some of the new Samsung Frame TV's are wireless only. I haven't touched them but wondering how the reliability of them has been? Any idea what frequency they use?

Samsung's "PRO" frames use a wireless one connect box. Works well as long as the box is in the same room as the TV. We have not gone too crazy testing range limits yet. The newest Samsung OLED (s95 I think) has all of the inputs on board... BUT, apparently it will also work with the wireless One Connect box. Not sure if this applies to any other Samsung TV's though. |

The wireless One Connect from Samsung uses Wifi 7 signal.
